residents and visitors will have the opportunity to celebrate the 2010 Winter Games at a variety of Celebration Sites. Hosted by the City of Vancouver, City of Richmond and Resort Municipality of Whistler, these celebration spaces are planned to include broadcast coverage of Games competitions on large video screens, and will feature live performances and recreational and cultural activities in a dynamic, family-friendly environment. David Lam Park and the former bus depot site at Georgia and Beatty streets will come alive as the locations for Live City Vancouver. The two sites will be connected by pedestrian thoroughfares on Hamilton and Mainland streets through Yaletown. The O Zone in Richmond will provide spectacular and innovative entertainment and experiences, while Whistler will see sporting events, cultural programs and Victory Ceremonies on stages and screens at six sites throughout the Village.
